Now why’d you have to go and tag me in this outlaw thread? I’ve managed to steer clear for the last 1500+ posts

You rubber scrubbers complain about dealing with residential customers, but I don’t see how some of these commercial customers are any better. They just amount to a bigger hit in the wallet when you have to drop them :man_shrugging::stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:

Lol no it’s a “I don’t own it anymore” kinda deal. I could deformulate what I have here but I have no way to blend it.

Should be getting a chance at cleaning my first conestoga trailer next week. Any suggestions here? Last thing I wanna do is brush the damn things. Will the 2 step gun and 110° heat be enough (maybe hotter?)

Anyone wash for Ryder? They are worried about the CWA. I spoke with the head guy here in Nebraska a couple of months ago and got a plan to be compliant with the CWA here. The Ryder guy has some paperwork I need to fill out from their environmental team. Is this going to be more of a pain in the ■■■ than what it’s worth?

Any news on this @marinegrunt ?

Between HCS-400, BD200, and WD24, which is the better premade degreaser? Cant find an SDS on some of these

It probably depends on what you’re cleaning but I bet the HCS-400 ranks up there because it’s uses in the fleet world. I’m going to order some one day but it’s a $150 shipping for a pallet full. You don’t have to fill the pallet but you’re wasting shipping if you don’t. I’m not sure what the minimum is for HCS-400. If you order from them you might as get some other fleet soaps just to have for 2 stepping so you can give it a go. If anything you can use it on your own vehicles. I think they have some sampler buckets you can get too.

I haven’t even mixed up the WD24. I’ll try too soon and report back. I don’t see it being any stronger than the bd-200 just cause it’s a high caustic butyl. They all serve a purpose though depending on what you’re cleaning. You don’t always want to use a high caustic on every surface so that’s when a different degreaser comes into place. Not saying that other degreaser is the WD24 cause I don’t know. I can’t remember what all is in it. I’ll do some tests though.

If they’ve never been 2 stepped prepare to brush. Take 5 minutes with the pressuretek 2’ yellow broom. I 2 step mine now, Super sonic and grizz and they come out great, Rinse close and overlap a lil with your 40° tip vertical. youll be fine George. Im at 125° all day every day

Hi Everyone. Great thread! I’ve read over 1000 posts and have taken a lot of notes. I’m hoping my questions below don’t annoy anyone.

I have a few questions regarding Reefer trucks if anyone cares to answer:

  1. I’m seeing a lot of chemical recommendations, but for a bi-weekly clean on a 53’ Reefer, what two-stage setup do you recommend? My rig uses heat (4gpm @4000spi), but I probably won’t upstream because I’m afraid of damaging my pump. I read a lot of Super Sonic + DynaClean/FilmFighter combos, but not sure if that has changed in the last year (and seems to work best for tractors). Keep in mind this is ONLY for trailers. I am not experienced with HF at all.

  2. What’s your current favorite two-step wand setup? I’m trying to save on time because right now I’m just switching out foam cannons which is a major headache. Should I consider a larger lance size given the height of these 53’ trailers?

  3. What nozzles do you prefer for 53’ trailers? Do you switch between a black soap tip and a yellow?

  4. With washing out the INSIDE of a 53’ Reefer, what chemical do you recommend for the inside? I ask because these trucks obviously transport food (FDA compliant) and I’m inexperienced with cleaning out the inside of a refrigeration unit. I didn’t see any information regarding that in this thread.

  5. After reading about soft water, I’ve had a hard time understanding how you’re achieving soft water? Is there an additive you’re putting in your tank? Given that soft water is so much better for cleaning, I would love some guidance on this.

  6. For those with big fleet accounts, do you have your clients sign contracts? I’ve noticed in this thread that people will drop and pick up customers, or clients will routinely go with someone else. Just curious how you handle larger client needs.

I’m not new to pressure washing, but fleet cleaning I am. I only have a couple of Reefer trucks to clean, but I want to be as efficient with time and cost as possible in case it turns into more. I appreciate any help and guidance you can offer.

Thanks everyone!

Eleven whole minutes. That has got to be a record.

Hi, I’m assuming you’re talking about me? I’ve been reading this thread since last night. I stopped around post 1200 since it was a lot of small talk. Lol

Anyway, I just created the account to post after I read everything. I’ve been on here a lot for many different things, but I just browse and lurk. I finally made an account since this was my first actual post (just normally read).
