Truck washing (Soaps, Tips and Tricks)

I might just install a tank vent and skip the cap thing

He didn’t like me, but then did. Like my wife and everyone else

Not sure how many reclaim here. But if you do, what kind of mark up do you do for that kind of job?

So if you are cleaning day cabs for a national carrier that wants reclaim how do you factor that into costs? ABF said they would bring me in but I need to reclaim. Now I know there are different types, carry the water out or discharging to vegetation. So if I’m cleaning 50 day cabs at $25-$35 a piece what would you add to reclaim, $35-$45?

@Hotshot, how did that sleeve hold up?

Ain’t got it on yet but ive lost 4 zip strips outta 150 and warshed bout 80,90 trucks so far, its still red necked

That damn poly line i got off the ebay is some tuff stuff. ain’t no sign of wear yet.

I’m leaning more and more at getting the Hydro-Chem gun within the next month or two. Also any to get their metering system

If you got the coin, id say do it man. Ive beta tested enough with this one , im convinced and can honestly say its saved me minutes on a single wash and one less dude .
Im doing one more major change before i do it though .
That 2 step gun is just plain heavy man. i got aluminium Lance’s on its way to help.
That flow meter is neat. But your already doing that for 20 bucks.
Im going to one more totally different route that i believe nobody’s using yet, but its more dang testing.

Finally finished this thread.

Haha and none the wiser with the amount of BS in here.

There was some good stuff but you did have to sift through the BS. 2300 post is a lot to wade through for some good info. Pretty much killed my battery also

How do y’all wash the tops on the big box trucks?

Gonna have to add some more on here to take the SH world by storm
With all the info you guys just soaked in to your noggins ya should be able to change the world for the better, yall are welcome.

Pre-soak it as you do your cab. Then if it’s bugged up it gets a hot rinse through a 8’ lance. If you just have a couple of bugs you can just about get all of it cleaning from both sides. You’ll leave a 7" strip that you can’t hit with very much pressure but it’s not all noticable once it blends in.

What about the big trailer units, do you guys have to physically climb up to reach the roof or is that not part of the wash?

Something like this, the top part of the trailer (roof I guess) image

How do you get the top of something like this. Do yall climp up on a ladder @Hotshot

You beat me to it lol
