Truck decals

@SchertzServicesLLC where is the red superduty located at?

Decatur Illinois. I swore it said $5,000 when I saw it last night. Looked it up and it says $5,7 But I bet if you offer 5 he would take it.

Has the v10 gas engine.

run away. 2001 to 2003 blows spark plug threads like crazy

yea my 02 has blown one. I put a heilicoil in it myself for less than $50 and its lasted 45k

Dont forget the 05… I was able to replace every plug but the far rear driverside one with the extractor tool. Dealer loved pulling that one for me $500 to extract one plug and then needed a helicoil after all that.

I bought the 2002 for $3100 and the helicoil kit on the same day for $31. It just seemed like destiny.

My truck went 200k on the factory plugs. Changed them again at 275k and I blew the back driver side plug. Moral of the story, If they don’t really need changed (its still running) don’t change em! If you don’t torque them just right they will spin out…

I had an old Ford with Triton engine that blew 2 plugs in a month. About $300 a piece to fix. They had to put that insert in there.

That’s crazy expensive! I know a local shop that does it for around $120

Ford is aware of the problem though they have a Service Bulletin… Pretty much says we know its broke you should fix it or pay us to fix it we not give you any money.

I thought it was just a problem on the V8 and not the V10. But I’m a Chevy guy and just bought my first Ford.

It’s all of the triton motors in those years. I believe they made the dreads out of a lighter aluminum than usual and they didn’t like holding plugs. The problem really only come about if you have the plugs changes and they under or over tighten them.

My 5.7 has 350,000 on it now. I even ran it out of oil once when I had the gasket blow on an oil filter. I did replace the intake last year. I did it myself and it took me about 7 hours.

I thought I remembered someone saying that about the crappy aluminum and less threads holding it in, but I’m not sure if that’s true. IBS might be able to verify.

Rock solid motors. I have 2 trucks with the same motor. I would buy one even with the risk of spark plug blowout.

I’ve run 5.4 motors for over a decade. 2001 to 2003 blew plugs like crazy. only bad years. Multiple plugs blown on one truck. Bought a bulletproof motor from company in Ohio. Put 10k miles on it and it got flooded in hurricane

I’ve always figured I would blow plugs while plowing. All the motor strain.

Goggled bulletproof engines in Ohio ? Do you have the name of the shop ? Thanks

That’s a nice truck and decal. I just got mine designed and will be getting it done in three weeks.

Would love to see other ppl’s trucks with decals.
