Troubleshooting

I usually use an m5 twist with a shooter tip for house washes and a surface cleaner for concrete. This week my machine runs fine with the m5 but if I connect a surface cleaner or turbo nozzle you can hear the engine die down if I don’t let off the gun. The engine revs back up and the. I can spray again for a few seconds.

I replaced the Unloader today with no luck. Any ideas on what would cause this? Is this a pump issue? Btw I am running a predator 670 with an 8 gpm udor pump.

Did you set your unloader with the proper white tip nozzle? What size turbo and SC nozzles are you running?

I thought I set it correctly but if I hold the trigger down, the machine will die within 10 seconds. I’d have to check the surface cleaner tips when I am at the machine. Before this week the surface cleaner worked fine and never bogged down. I just bought a turbo nozzle and was is it for the first time this week as well.

Sounds like check valves might be clogged. I suggest keeping a check valve kit on hand as a spare and now ordering one if you don’t have one. And doing some maintenance on your pump.

Keeping a spare of all consumables, including check valves, is a very good idea. Downtime is your worst enemy.

Doesn’t hurt to check your turbo nozzle and surface cleaner nozzles also. Could have a bit of something or another in them.

Are you referring to the check valve in the Unloader?
