Tennis ball… I’ve never tried it but I have thought about it. I have a tennis ball in the truck and never bring it out. Might be nice on big commercial jobs.

I tried using a large cable cuff and that worked good. The way I had it set up it would just hold the trigger so if I fell or something it would probably release but it’s probably not the safest thing especially if you run out of gas,set it down without releasing it then start back up again.Ive seen a trigger lick on eBay with a safety line on it but Haven’t seen it in stores.

I use a ball made for street hockey. It’s a little harder than a tennis ball and is the perfect size for most guns. Works great for me. If the gun falls out of your hands, the jar of hitting the ground should knock the ball out and shut off the flow.
I use velcro cable ties from harbor freight. You can just slide it up and down for on and off in addition to your ball valve.
I just had my supplier give me a gun without a trigger for when I have a big rinse job ahead of me. Ball valve on, ball valve off.
