Trailer wiring

So I need to replace my trailer connector , can’t seem to find this exact wiring . Let me know if I should do some McIver . I either stepped on it or ran it over and doesn’t connect anymore . Thank you

The one I’m finding is this one at my local trailer shop

I just went through this whole mess. The trailer repair shop converted everything to a 7-round connector as I kept trashing the 4 flat. Those double wires (at least on mine) are for the low (running light) high (brake/turn signal on).

Your’s may be different but that’s what I had to go through.

On a four pin plug there is parking lamps, Right Light, Left Light, and ground. Cut them off and apply 12 volts to each wire separately with the white wire staying on ground. Once you know what each wire is you can then convert it to the new plug. But I agree fully with @dcbrock on the 7 way connector, way better connection and doesn’t get broken nearly as easy.

I have been using the EZ connections. I changed it out this season and have been really happy with it. So much easier to clean and no place for bugs or mud.

Ok , sounds good . I think I might do that . Around how much did you pay for conversion?

It’s something you can probably do yourself. There are videos you can watch and we can walk you through it on here.

Green is normally right turn signal/brake

Yellow left turn signal/brake

Brown is parking lights

White is ground

Blue is electric brake

You can pick up a 7 pin at hardware or auto parts store.
