Trailer questions

Buying a 25 gallon chemical tank here today for the enclosed trailer. My plans were to build a shelf that sits above my pressure washer. My question to everyone here is will my downstream injector pull from a tank that sits above the washer?

Id rather keep the pressure washer on the ground, but If i have to I can build a heavier shelf to hold the pressure washer above the chemical tank.

Thanks for the help in advance.

Yes, as long as you don’t have miles of pickup hose, it should pull perfect. Liquid and gravity are friends

Just be aware of the weight requirements of the shelf: bleach is around 10 lbs/gallon. And you need to deal with the lateral forces from the liquid sloshing around.

Good call about the weight of bleach… If I fill it up to 20 gallons I’m essentially at the same weight as the pressure washer. I doubt the walls of the trailer will hold that much.

Build the shelf with legs on the floor of the trailer.

^^ definitely.

Also make sure to seal the vent on your tank, and run a vent line through the floor to the rear of the trailer. Bleach fumes are heavier than air (making a roof vent next to useless), and will cause more corrosion than the occasional spill of liquid. You can also run a fill line with check valve through the floor, and eliminate spills entirely.

Look up Kevin Enderle’s posts on Power Wash Community on FB for diagrams. Very simple to do, and will save you from buying a new trailer every few years

I appreciate the information, this trailer dont have a roof vent. Will that line suffice or should I still put a vent in?
