Trailer build suggestions welcome

Just a thought but having your proportioner box mounted down below would prevent you from having a bunch of hose lines dangling from there. Sick build otherwise tho,

Makes sense now. I guess you could add a little surfactant to the SH tank for DS’ing, If you are just using the 12 volt to clean roofs, it may not be an issue. Now I need to rethink my set up!

It doesn’t help that. It helps with you not needing a separate tank for downstream mix. Just meter your sh/surfactant from one tank into your injector. Proportioner still has soap line, sh line, and water line for use with 12v/air/booster.

Thanks man. I like my proportioner and schertz box being mounted higher, hose management wise I was going to bundle them to run down the length of the center support beam for the ladder rack.

Like the video I sent earlier, wonder if I can camlock the proportioner from the 12v to the shertz box when DSing.

FH, I am trying to understand the metering valve on the DS drop stick. I normally just DS straight SH with a surfactant in my tank, so no need for metering. I pull a 10:1 ratio and works perfect for my area. Thanks for any insight.

95% of what I downstream is vinyl siding, so I don’t need to pull straight SH. I usually have my valve between 2 and 3 (it goes to 5). We usually only have to go fully open on one bad side of the house, or bad gutters, etc. I’m running an 8gpm with 250ft of hose and a 2.1 injector.

Thanks. That makes sense and a great idea

Can you post a pic of your metering valve for your DS? My 8 isn’t pulling enough soap for dirty houses and I’m tired of mixing buckets for each house. I’m thinking of installing a metering system.

Sure thing… Mixing valve on top of bulkhead for drop tube in sh tank, then from mixing valve to three-way valve to injector

Thanks. I was picturing something more complicated. I like that.

8 gpm doesn’t pull much of a high strength anyway through a DS injector. Why would you want to meter it down?

50/50 gets the job done for me more often than not, so why would I want to spray full strength when I don’t have to?

I think it depends on the injector on the draw. I like the idea of the metering valve on the drop stick.

Does your soap last in the sh tank for days/week? What soap do you use? How long does that metering valve last? I think I’m going to do the same thing. I don’t want 3 metering valves when one will work for me.

I use Elemenator and it has had no negative effects on the bleach. Last year I had a maybe 5-10 gallons left in my tank before winter, and used it to wash my house in the spring with no issues. I’m sure the strength was weaker from sitting, but it didn’t turn it brown or anything like that. I just finished my third year using the same metering valves. I have done no flushing or maintenance of them at all. Our season up here in Vermont is only 6 months though, so that three years is really only 18 months of use.

I know this is old but it sure helped me! The picture of the metering valve to the DS injector is ingenious. Obviously most will run the line from the SH metering valve to a remote DS controller then to the gun, right?
