Trailer Build / Layout Questions

Need some help on my build and have some questions I would like some help with.

  1. I need to install a float valve. I assume Hudson is the one I want? Where should I mount it?
  2. The bypass. Mount that too into the top ( I’ve read that maybe installing a 90* elbow on the inside of the tank so as the water goes down the side instead of splashing and making air bubbles?).
  3. My down stream injector - Shere should that be mounted and how do I plumb it around my bypass?
  4. Where would you guys suggest the best place to mount my K7 unloader and block?
  5. The connections from the pump to the hotbox and reels - should they be hard connections or quick release couplers?
  6. How does the outlet of my leg tank look? I use 2 x 45* street elbows so as to minimize a tight 90*
  7. Drain - Should I Tee off before my filter and out the back of the trailer?

If anyone is willing to share some pics of their setups I’d appreciate it!

  1. I need to install a float valve. I assume Hudson is the one I want? Where should I mount it?
I like my hudson, use a bulkhead fitting on top of the tank and install it on the inside at the height you want the water to fill to using pvc to adjust the height
  2. The bypass. Mount that too into the top ( I’ve read that maybe installing a 90* elbow on the inside of the tank so as the water goes down the side instead of splashing and making air bubbles?).
Just install it on the opposite side of the outlet at the bottom.
  3. My down stream injector - Shere should that be mounted and how do I plumb it around my bypass?
  4. Where would you guys suggest the best place to mount my K7 unloader and block?
    Somewhere sturdy
  5. The connections from the pump to the hotbox and reels - should they be hard connections or quick release couplers?
Thats up to you. I use fixed fittings because i never took them off enough and they would seize up
  6. How does the outlet of my leg tank look? I use 2 x 45* street elbows so as to minimize a tight 90*
    fine
  7. Drain - Should I Tee off before my filter and out the back of the trailer?
I have a tee right out of my tank. One side is a drain and the otherside is suction for the pump

Why do ppl not like to mount their pressure washers straight on the trailer?

Easier to pull start (if not electric).

Easier to drain oils.

That’s all I got

What @SurfaceTherapy said but also floorspace. My skid stand allows me to store my gas tank and battery underneath.

I would rather smash every finger on my left hand with a framing hammer than ever pull start another pressure washer. Just no.

@Dago52 i hope you’ve bolted those custom IBC tote brackets to the actual cross beams of the trailer and not the wooden decking itself.

Newbie here. Shouldn’t intake of pressure washer be at same level as bottom of tank?

He’s running a pump with a gear box. Those and belt-driven pumps have the ability to pull water instead of relying on head pressure
