Trailer Build 2 - For those of you still working on your trailers

This is my heavy trailer pintle hitch setup
I bought the trailer a couple of years ago to use as onsite remote accommodation, it was built a a race car transportation trailer and had air conditioning-needs new unit, twin 300litre fuel tanks full under floor storage and annex canvas for both sides .
Thinking about modifying it for more ground clearance but haven’t got round to it yet.
The other cage trailer is a hydraulic tipper I got to transport sand for wet sandblast jobs.

15 KVA DG set Trailer (3500kg) model

I’m thinking of buying this. Can anyone give me one good reason why I shouldn’t?

I think the washer says 2.8 gpm and is just a homeowner unit so that’s reason enough to pass on it in my opinion. I don’t think that setup is even worth a grand. The washer isn’t worth much, truck toolbox is worth maybe $100, and it looks like one of those $350 harbor freight trailers. That metal tank would make a nice smoker though.

I’m totally kidding. I browse FB marketplace all the time and came across that setup and nearly died laughing. I already have a pretty sweet smoker so that would be a downgrade for me but it’d be a great starter for sure!

I kind of wondered. I almost asked if you were kidding but didn’t want to make you feel like a moron if you were actually serious. I was trying to nicely talk you out of it…lol

I appreciate your kindness. That definitely wins the ugliest rig award in my book.

I agree with there. At first glance I thought he tore the sheet metal and foam insulation off of a water heater for the buffer tank.

Nice video… I have been trying to figure out what to do about getting a trailer setup. This video helps.

Question : Why have a 4 gpm if you have an 8 gpm on there? Is there certain tasks that the 4 does better?

Yes, it pulls a stronger mix than 8gpm, good for smaller jobs, especially those with poor water flow or where getting rid of water a problem and just as a cheap backup.

@Racer

How do you like your pro-portioner system?

I like the look and closing up of the box but it’s a heavy price tag. Thinking about plumbing it myself since it’s half the costs with the same parts. Just without the box.

Obviously I like it or I wouldn’t have gotten another. I even talk about on the truck build video.
