Too long of a run?

Yep, could run it right to your washer battery.

I’m sitting here looking at it and moving the fuel pump might work but how far do I need to tear into the machine to get to it?

I’m not sure where it’s located on the 660 but I wouldn’t think it would be hard to get to. It might even be mounted on the skid. Give me a minute and I’ll try and find out.

I’ll need to reboot. Been working on this for two days after working full days and working tomorrow. Thankfully I can run solo on the other machine. I’ll check out some YouTube videos regarding moving the fuel pump, and explore the option of ordering the electric pump.

It’s a 690 but I’m sure they’re pretty close. Thanks I really appreciate that

You can try and follow the hose from the carb and it’ll go to the fuel pump. I’ll still see what I can find to be able let you know how easy it is to get to though.

It’ll look like this.

I’ll tag @Innocentbystander . He’ll know where the fuel pump is located. He might also know if lowering it would work or not.

If William is unsure I can try and test it on our golf cart. The fuel pump is right up front so easy to take off. I can set it up to to replicate your setup. Would be better than you having to change stuff around just to try it. Won’t take but a couple minutes so I’ll try and get around to it tomorrow and will report back.

I think I would try and stick with the pulse type pump just because of how reliable they are. I guess with an electric as long as you kept a couple spares you’d be okay. You could always mount it in a spot that’s easy to get to. I’ve never used one so can’t comment on their longevity.

Love this part especially!

Take your gas cap off and see if it runs. You can’t use the cap the comes with Marine tank that uses squeeze bulb.

Very correct on this. I got rid of my pump ball.

I tried that. It has a vent on the cap. I actually took off the intake stick and set the hose straight in the fuel. Didn’t work either. Tomorrow I’m going to install one of those marine pump balls and see if it’ll work. If not I need to find a secondary pump?

Roger that. Thanks a lot

Makes me happy too Chris lol.

On my predator the fuel pump is right behind this. Took all of 5 min to change out. I would start with the fuel pump before adding a primer bulb. My opinion anyway.

Mine sits about 30 inches above my fuel tank and pulls fine. Pulls up a couple of feet and then across a couple of feet.

I’m at about 5’. I put the fuel tank up higher and it ran a lot longer but sounded like it was still struggling. Maybe it was still catching a prime. Tomorrow I’m going to try the fuel tank that came factory. I can’t see how that would make a difference bc I just swapped over the hoses and hardware that attaches them. Everything went smoothly up until this. Should have known I’d have a curve ball a long the way. Luckily I don’t really need this until June 10. Sooner the better though. Gonna get old hauling that 5gpm on wheels in the bed of the truck quickly.

Move the tank and see if it works. Mine have pulled from that height before. Might be a bad pump. Is it sucking? Someone posted a pic of where it is. Easy to get to. If your fuel filter is on backwards you owe all of us a cheerwine

Lol, if it is I would be so so happy to buy you all wine. If it is backwards then it’s another strike against Pressure Pro bc it definitely came how it is. I mounted and plumbed it. That’s it. This is the first time I cranked it up.

Just changed the elevation to 2’ and it works. Do you think it’s a bad pump or a bad setup? Kinda stuck here as to what to move forward with.

Having used outboard motors, etc I would think nearly 4’ to exceed the fuel pump’s capabilities.
