I have not found anything that works for dirt daubers except a scrub brush. It’s a pain. Especially when there is a lot on second or third levels.

Leave dwell on for a little longer. Depending on the bug some of them may leave stains that SH will not take off… if so grab a WFP and scrub them off with a bit of vinegar.

I hate those with a passion. Especially on white stucco.

Wow, that looks like a lot of fun  Hopefully your shooter tip method works.

@Grizz let us know how that turns out. I have no problem removing the nests, it’s the residual red mud halo/stain that I’ve yet to find a simple way to remove

I have one coming up that has a heck of a lot on stucco. I posted some pictures in another thread. Anyways, I read somewhere else that Dragon Juice works on the stain. I might order some and give it a try. I’ll let you know.

@CaCO3Girl have you ever heard of using hydrogen peroxide to break down the spit and mud that holds dirt dauber nests together?

Ya nests are not hard to get off. The muds stains are not ethier and i did not take them off at this job. Aluminum brightener will take the mud off. Spray on with a pump up then rinse it right off. Problem is it will lighten uo the area. So you have to be careful with your spray.

Is that bugs or mud dauber?

Spraying hydrofluoric acid on someone’s house makes me nervous. How many types of substrate have you tried this on?

I have a feeling that different regions, different dirt, different results. I have not tried much out side of different concentrations of sh but the only thing that gets ride of the residual shadow is a scrub brush and a ladder. It does go faster then I originally anticipated and keeps me in shape moving the ladder around.

Mud daubers :grimacing::grimacing:. I have only used HF on vynal and brick. It will take oxidation right off lol.

I have not…but it will eat organic matter…and if the dauber is made of organic mater and inorganic matter…it could be like punching holes in it…could be an intriguing experiment :- )

HF will absolutely eat anything organic, we use it plenty on Steel, aluminum, SS and chrome. takes all bugs off ,like now !
That being said, it will also eat all metal and all glass if left on to long or left to dry…
