To Rinse a drive way

You need flow when rinsing…not pressure. I am running 8gpm and I just use my j-rod for rinsing…works good for me.

How are you blowing o rings out. they sit between a seat and a plug. If you are blowing them out rinsing with a ball valve it is probably because you have the ball valve and your house plumbed backwards. If you rinse with the male end you can’t blow out the o ring. The pic above that fat daddy posted is incorrect.

But rinsing and downstreaming with a ball valve with female end gives your more suds I believe.

I didn’t tell you to stop doing it wrong and backwards. You wanted to no why you were blowing orings. I told you. Ball valves have no place in soaping or rinsing. If you trip, fall, die whatever, and drop the ball valve there is no safety to turn it off. Insurance will not cover it. They will drop you if they discover it in an audit. Hoses are made to flow from the male end. Period.

Good advice didn’t know this

No worries.

Think I’ve replaced 3 or 4 all year. And mine is backwards, lol. Just have to make sure you get the backwards seating orings.

Backwards seating… like a child’s car seat?

I just make sure my o-rings wear their seat belts.

Those little locks on those tiny seatbelts hard to get fastened though.

I have my ball valve like in the video, with the female end rinsing. The only couple of times i have blown an oring out are when i didnt have the attachment seated in the QC good, and it popped off with the oring. Other than that, i haven’t had any issues with orings.

Superglue. Last time I saw my kid was when the ex picked him up for a visit. I superglued the little tiny seatbelt so he was stuck in her car.

Never seen either of them again !! Yeesssss!!

Your flow should go out of the male qc.
I.e. Male qc on pc. Female qc on guns and surface cleaner.
Male qc on distal end of ball valve and then you won’t blow out orings.

I’m about to purchase my ball valve and swivel. Anyway you could show me how you’d would set this up? If I had a physical store to go through the fittings I could figure it out and make it work. But I’m ordering online so I need to be precise so I don’t have to waste my own and bob’s time returning and reordering stuff. I’d appreciate I think. A picture and an explain Atkin would suffice. Unless you’re a true gentleman and you take a video. Lol

Actually, wouldn’t it be

Male end on hose>female QC>ball Valve> swivel>male end

And then all guns and such have female quick connects? That way I could rinse with the male end if I wanted to.

If I have a ball valve I’ll video it tomorrow. Just keep in mind, I don’t use them and swivels should be factory installed on your hose when ordered, not added piece mill.

I still have my new gray Neptune rolled up. I need to check it. That would be nice if it does. Thanks tho.

Usually one end is swivel. Fixed end goes on reel.

Come spring, I’ll have every upgrade I need, besides the most important. My machine. lol I’m trying to find something used that will get me through enough jobs to buy brand new. Next season, I’ll be a lot better off.

Is that how the United Hose comes? My patchwork hose is still working, but it’s not long for this world.
