IDK how things are in your local market, but here in Baton Rouge, people think you need ladders to pressure wash 2 story homes.
Great video demonstrating soft wash techniques, “You can clean my 3 story house from the ground” lol we get that a lot to. I still see guys using ladders and have stopped to try to educate them to do it safer, for them and the customer. Most are thankful for the insight.

I contacted him and we met and got lunch, had a three hour discussion on roof cleaning and pressure washing, I helped him out and he helped me out as well. That’s what’s it’s all about, turns out he’s a super nice guy, and we talk regularly now. I’ve had customers say they want other estimates, and I always have a list of a few guys that I know are licensed and insured and will do a great job in the same ball park price that I would do it. I would rather go that route than have the client get someone that’s going to low ball me and ultimately leave the client unhappy.

Thats honorable that you do that Matt but keep in mind that ultimately these guys are your local competitors and the larger they become the more it can bite you somewhere in the azz down the road.
What I do here is, like you, I network with some of my local competition. I never give them any of my customers for anything but I will call them to pass on work I do not want or just don’t do. They do pretty much the same thing. I got some buildings and garages this way along with residential that is just to far for them to travel to.
Always be leery in giving any of your customer info away to anyone that does the same business that you do in your local market. Once your customer goes into there database and if they do postcards etc like we do to our customers, they will forever be marketing towards your customer on the automatic mailings.
This is just food for thought. Networking is one thing but giving away customer info is another.
