Is there a good place to get the three way tee for the bypass injector or does it matter?
Seems like a wide range of pricing online for it so I wasn’t sure if a certain one was better.

I bought some stainless steel ones off amazon for $18 a piece. They are only rated for 2800 psi, my unloader is set to 2900 psi, I haven’t had any issues over the past two seasons. I contemplated buying the more expensive ones with higher pressure ratings, but figured since it’s after the unloader and not a closed system, it probably wasn’t as necessary.
Might check with Russ at Southside, they put my bypass together so probably have the part
I thought yall didnt like bypass injectors?
I’ve never used one but I was having some issues last year and was troubleshooting, and when I removed the DS injector, the flow (which I already knew would be the case) was considerably more. Not as big a deal when washing vinyl, but it seems to make a difference when washing concrete. So I’m looking at installing one and seeing if I like it. I have all the parts except the tee.
I’ll do a bucket test again but I did one with my 5 gal and there was no change in flow with the bypass on or off. I haven’t tried with my 8 gal.
It was around half to a full gallon on my 8.5 gpm pump. Not enough to make me switch for soft washing but some of the concrete around here is so bad, that I decided to start seeing what I could do to make it easier/faster to clean, and that extra bit (along with the extra pressure) seemed to help.
The gold standard DSI that dprez makes would help
My surface cleaner starts lifting up when I have the bypass on, just drags around if it’s having to squeeze through the injector orifice
I would love to have that issue.
So turns out I had lost more pressure than I realized.
I had to replace my belts and took an opportunity to have the company I use to do an acid flush on the burner.
I had gotten down to 1700 psi at the tip.
After them working on it I am around 3k at the tip.
It was such a gradual loss that I didn’t realize how bad it was. (We’re talking a couple years. And no probs soft washing.) Cleaned over 2,000 sq ft of concrete and knocked it out in record time.
One side note, I had two belts as backups. My machine takes two. Bought at the same time from the same place. But when I put the belts on, one had more give in it than the other. Too much to try running together. So I had to buy another.
So in the future I’ll buy 3 belts with the hopes that at least two will be the same length and give.
