Could you swap out the ever flo pump from rural king with a better pump once it goes out? $45 seems like a cheap investment to see if he likes the setup.

I just went to their store to check it out, the tank is nice sized for portability, weighs almost nothing, however the pump will likely be destroyed in short order. Unfortunately, the price online wonā€™t be matched in store. Found another 1gpm pump for 30 with viton seals, for a replacement when needed. The hose and sprayer arenā€™t great, but it does have a bottom oriented drain plug. I figure I will go with a more durable hose and wand down the road. I saw a couple of pull carts while I was there which gave me some ideas, now I have to find them on sale on craigslist or a yard sale, or from the scrapyard. I think I may make the Marinegrunt portable unit (Iā€™ll call it the MPU) on steroids, donā€™t know if it will work or not. I wonā€™t have a lot tied up into it, so in the grand scheme it will be interesting and give me a chance to work out the plumbing for the eventual MPU 2.0. Iā€™ll make it so large and burdensome that I will have to hire a strong back and weak minded feller to haul it, or motorize it LOL.

Anyway, if it doesnā€™t work out for me, I can always use it to spray glyphosate around my field. I currently use a 4 gallon backpack unit to walk around and do it. After reading threads and horror stories on here about backpack sprayers, I am hesitant to use it again. Been using it for 3 years and never had a problem, guess I am lucky.

Hereā€™s where @marinegrunt talks about his little set-up. Since it was mentioned above, I thought itā€™d be helpful to link to it.
