You’re not likely to get any support for that here

The specs are decent but it has a direct drive pump which does not offer much in the way of longevity.

I’m assuming you are just doing research on what homeowner pressure washer will be good for around the house.

I will be buying my first machine next week. I haven’t found any used 8 gpm pressure washers for sale. As a matter of fact, all of the used equipment in my area has been outrageously priced. So, I am going with a presser pro eb4040hc. Simpson makes one that is very similar and probably just as good. I like the price on that alh4240. It is probably lighter to, but I think having a belt drive is worth the extra money. Hopefully I have to upgrade after my first session, and I’ll make it a rental.

Having a belt drive 1 allows you to pull from a tank. That alone makes it worth the money

Anyone familiar with this unit?? Thinking of using it on a truck skid vs 7-8 gpm. Smaller footprint than a 37hp. Just wanted to know if it performs well enough

37hp what unit would you be referring too? Seams like you are comparing apples to oranges

Not to get off subject…but it’s the skid plate. I’m more curious if anyone has used this unit.

My head hurts. Arrgghh stop!!!

Love the responses

I’m kind of confused to but help us get on the same page so you can get some answers.

I’ve never used a Kohler engine for anything but a few others have. I think we’re confused about where the 37 hp engine is coming into play or why you mentioned it. You don’t need 37 hp for an 8 gpm machine.

What skid plate?

Now my head hurts too…lol

Should have never mentioned 37hp… enviospec builds them. Just looking if anyone was familiar with the 6.3 gpm unit

I haven’t used a Kohler or that 6.3 but I have used a 6.8 gpm allison from evirospec. Someone said they look like they’re Comet pumps rebranded. I ran it most of last season and it didn’t miss a beat. I can’t comment on longevity though. You can’t beat the price. I paid $559 for the 6.8/3500 gear drive and that included the gearbox. The only reason I bought it at the time was because I needed a pump asap and they were able to get it to me the fastest. They actually upgraded me to two day shipping for free just because they knew I was in dire need. (I’ll always have a backup pump on hand going forward) Seems Envirospec did have bad name but they’re under new ownership now. I had a great experience shopping with them. After seeing and using the pump I wouldn’t hesitate buying another one if I needed it. I’m not sure if it’ll be my go to pump in the future but I’m happy with it with no complaints.

Yes new owner, but he’s a rubber scrubber at heart , Dwell on that Grunt… My ole 5.6 Allison/ comet $299 pump is still spitting water @ 1000 hrs on her. Won’t be long I imagine, Then boom lol.
