Dont use that machine like that if you turn that burner on and it’s not flowing water it will explode. I would just chang out injector and fix flow switch then you dont have to worry about it. Thermostats can be hard on a burner. But all that thermostat does is interrupt power to the burner just wire it in line. You still gotta fix the flow switch
