When I started, I started with a direct drive… I killed a General pump in about 1 year and the second one only lasted me 5 months…

I came across a used Direct drive Udor, I ran the piss out of it! Never died! I sold it and the guy is still running that pump and he says it wont quit! Its got to have at least 4k ours on it by now… No rebuild… Direct Drive!

Now I have a Udor gear drive, and it following that same path! Beast of a pump!

Brings fuel pump, no primer bulb, better fuel filter, Amazon tachometer, mobile 1 full synthetic and go spend that $1,250 you saved on something nice for the ol lady.

You’ll choke it every time you start it even if it’s cold. Nature of the beast. Zip tie your keys to the motor.

Lucas assembly lube on the shaft and key before you mate them… giggity.

Oh please don’t use that! While in the same family as lubes, anti-seize is what is really needed. I use Loctite C-5A anti-seize compound. It has suspended copper and graphite and in regards to temp you can get it up over 1500’F.

Do you use the powder graphite on certain things @dperez, I used to use it in my NHRA days quite a bit on things, still have a couple bottles laying around .

Lock cylinders…hate getting it on my hands

Bingo, We had to use it on the driver’s harness and hans device. Also the quick fasteners for the panels on the drag cars.

Like these lil buggers?

Yeah, we always threw the springs away though, usless after multiple times of use, then we had to gorilla tape every one before we sent it down the track because they vibrate loose.

Ahhhhh I’ve seen that thanks man another discovery made

There called DZUS clips, I’ve used them on fibreglass body panels on my racecars. Good concept nice and quick to clip on and off just a pain in the anus to line up again after a minor collision, body gaps go all over the place.

You two @Hotshot @MuscleMyHustle know your fasteners I’m humbled to be in your presence

Pronounced Zeus you Arkansawyer

That wasn’t me this time ,fella cross the pond said that.

Gave me a special tool and everything!
