@Innocentbystander, Brother, you continue to be judgmental. I love you back nonetheless. Afterall, you dubbed me the sordid philosopher with the thick-skinned past (or something like that )
SO, we crawl as we learn to walk, and we purchase what we believe will make us more effective; but at this moment I actually prefer the two machine system, and LOVE the trailer that is a MUCH better choice than yet another PWer as I grow. AND, you may HATE this: Window cleaning is still an important element of my business and my next big investments will be an upgraded filtration system and the new Xero Oval carbon fiber water fed pole from my friends at WCR.
I had never considered finding a belt guard, but that makes a lot of sense, especially in such small quarters. Can you suggest a source, @Innocentbystander ?
Running 2 machines together instead of one only costs you money. I don’t really care if it doesn’t affect me. But, not being safety conscious hurts us all eventually. I’ve never even seen a water fed pole in person, but if it makes you money, go for it. Remember, there is nothing wrong with being judgmental.
Open your mind and still your smarts run out lol. I’m not really concerned with objectivity, open mindness etc. I’m content with doing things the way I want to and the way I know is right. It’s liberating when you realize that most people are wrong
Looks good George except for not having the belt guard. What are you putting in rear of trailer? All your weight is forward. Why the reel up front instead of the rear?
55 gal drum of SH, Water filtration system for windows, a Grayco sprayer, and 5 gal buckets as well as chemicals like Oxalic, F9, Gutter Grenade, etc.
I wanted the reels closest to the PWers for one thing, and easy access to the back of the trailer. I might have been better served putting them on the back but never gave that any consideration. LOVE THAT BUFFER TANK! Always have water at the ready, and can run 1/2 hour with both machines going and have yet to run low or even down on a jobsite. Also relly digging that softwash system with me always at the ready. I have more things to build on and improve. When I figure out how I will video both machines blowing. IMPRESSIVE!
I have the same setup you do. I run 2 machines when i need to work faster alone.
The only thing i would highly recomend is to add some check valves before the Tee so you prevent pressure from going back to the machine. Sometimes without the check valve the pressure builds up and if you try and start the machine it will kick back and let me tell you your fingers will hurt lol
How right you are. Glad to know that there’s a solution except pulling until it finally goes. Could you take a picture of this check valve so I know exactly what to order?
Bias comes so naturally to us, doesn’t it? Whenever I find myself entering a knee-jerk reaction or negative response, I try to remind myself of my commitment to open-mindedness and objectivity. That commitment serves me well.I even try to stay unbiased about our friend’s close-minded posts because @Innocentbystander has much to teach and is generous with his knowledge.
I remember being about 8 years old, sitting on a pillow so I could see better in Dad’s 1974 LTD. I read that same bumper sticker about open minds and parachutes. Dad told me that was hooey and if you have an open mind your brains will run out. Lotta truth there. New Age, feel good bumper sticker versus son of a sharecropper/veteran logic. Probably a middle ground some where, but that’s a crowded place to be
I also have two 4gpm machines, and like the flexibility of house washing and concrete at the same time, was curious if this was possible and/or an option…
Do you have a water source for both machines? I use a 255g buffer tank to supply both PWs, and the fittings seen above your post to blow out from one hose, and separate hoses if I want 1 man on house and 1 man on surface cleaning.
