I think I’m the easternmost kiwi forum member… therefore I’ll see the new year before anyone here. So I’ll sneak my speech in first.
Cheers for all the good chat, advice and banter this year.
A couple of you in particular have been spectacularly helpful to me recently, @Innocentbystander and @Atlas1 are two standout performers who’ve gone above and beyond and deserve an internet beer from me.
There have been plenty grumpy arguments but all seems relatively peaceful at moment which is a lovely way to be. I don’t feel like strangling anyone… right now I’d even toast you Mr @tireshark if you were close enough!
Thanks again for the good, the bad and the ugly in our little corner of cyberspace.

I would like to thank @squidskc for helping me land a $400+/ hour job, I would also like to thank @tireshark for being the voice of reason, I would like to also thank @Innocentbystander for being the voice of wisdom and knowledge and also for being the grumpy old guy so I don’t have to be.(because he says the stuff I want to say, but in a more professional manner).
I would also like to thank everyone else on here for helping me make this the best year I have had. I have been a UPS guy for the past 28+ years and I have always had something else going on the side. I think this power washing stuff is the real deal. I can see a REAL future in doing this and I would like to thank ALL of you in helping me to further that along. I have recently purchased my second rig and can’t wait for the next season to start. I look forward to expanding and I am looking forward the future with ALL of you. (that includes you, @awesomewash2, if you can keep yourself in control)
I don’t care about personal growth(I’m already 200 lbs) and financial growth brings it’s own problems. I hope everyone makes it thru the year without losing fingers, stubbing toes and keeping their wife happy. Everything else is minutia
I meant something more along the lines of mental growth. Let’s all hope our waste lines stay manageable! I ate way to much over Christmas and it went straight to my thighs.
Absolutely guys! Not to give you a sob story, but my wife has Rhumatoid arthritis, (injections $1,400/month or she can’t even walk) and I’m in a constant battle with my baby’s momma over her trying to move out of state with my 7yr old boy. The moral of the story is not to bring baggage on the board, but to let each of you know that collectively you have all, by why of shared knowledge, saved my family, no exaggeration. I stumbled into PWing last year and this board has been everything. Because of your collective knowledge, I can pay my lawyer bills for my son, and keep my wife as healthy as she can be. So when I say happy new year and I wish you all the best, I mean it from the bottom of my heart, even if it is black, cold and crusty lol. BTW if anyone is near St. Louis, I’ll buy you a beer. =)
I strongly dislike the term “Baby Momma”. Child’s Mother sounds better to me, but to each their own.
I think next year may go a bit better for you. Good luck with your wife and kid.
Like you pressure washing has been a blessing for me as well. It has really opened up my eyes and finally gave me the freedom away from the desk. It may sounds stupid, but this line of work is really making me happy. There is nothing like setting your own hours, not having a boss, and making your own way in life. The biggest bonus is that I get to work outdoors, hear the compliments from the home owners, and feel like I am actually adding value to another persons life.
