You guys can’t talk about upstreaming without me man! I can get up to 8 an hour on those 28’ box trucks it takes me about 7.5 minutes by myself when there hasn’t been much rain and 10 minutes if I’m fighting to get them to cleaned up. When doing flat work with surface cleaners I always upstream concrete cleaner as well. Nothing like cleaning with soap at a higher psi.

We’re all small business owners here so like you we take off when we want to but with that being said I do work every Thanksgiving and Christmas because I only want to spend a HALF a day with family lol

:joy:

Most use one for selecting between soap and water for our injector. I have a 3 way like the one you got from Spray Depot to select between my roof mix or water to flush. If you’re interested in turning your 3 way from Sprayer Depot into being operated by a remote let me know. I know you have guys who do that and also keep an eye on soaps so you might not need one on a remote.

I didn’t wanna get to involved in it to much. @dcbrock started it… Forgive me. Lol

Hell yes brother!

Me and my wife worked last Christmas day.

Dude my wife came out with me me too! We are always looking for something to do when everything is closed and we’re all like you wanna go wash some trucks? It’s always nice to get a tiny bit more caught up as a added bonus.

Did you have to or want to?
And more importantly did you do something to celebrate with the extra income from that day?

Both.
Trucks are always home on Holidays and weekends for the most part. We do this full Time all year and have weekly customers to tend to. So we gotta wash and polish on their time ,not ours. So we could of said no, But we’re not one for leaving money on the table.
We did go out to a nice supper at the only restaurant in town the next day, And drove to Batesville Ar and bought the wife yarn for her crafting crap, I mean HOBBY, And watched a picture show @ the old Melba theater . Grinch stole Christmas and a country ham supper with all the fixings.
Good day…

One good thing about owning your own company is you never have to do anything you don’t want to do. Although, it might not be the best decision for your business and could very well cost you money and a customer.

I’ve worked 8 years of my life for the man. I never ever want to go back.

It’s like I tell my students when they ask the question, “Do we have to take this test?” I always reply, “No. You never have to take any of my tests. But you also don’t have to pass my class if you don’t want to. It’s always your decision.”

That’s beautiful, @Hotshot!

How do you polish? Buffer? Pressure washer? Q tips?

Thank ya ,we use big 6500 rpm right angle grinders with 10" buffing pads. Then all the way down to 4" buffing pads for close to paint stuff. We go through 40 lbs of jewelers rogue bars, gallons of sealer and hundreds of cotton diapers and pounds and pounds of all purpose flour for just those 7. @qons

I need some help with the flour part. What exactly is that for?

Helps take the black used rouge out of the aluminum and stainless steel after polish. Used in the final stage.
