Surface Tool Jets recommendations

Hi All

Just to throw this out there for recommendations - In the essence of speed and service delivery - Recommendations for use of a 4gpm 4000psi gx390 unit and a be pressure tri jet surface cleaner 24”
Best jets to use ?? ( came with 2502)

You don’t want a 24” surface cleaner with a 4/4k.

Please don’t misinform/confuse people here, don’t know where you got that but, size 3 nozzle gives you 1750 psi @ 1.98 gpm closest to 2gpm, that, x 2 for 2 nozzles gives you 3.96 gpm again closest to 4gpm.
Size 2.5 will give you that 2500psi @ exactly the same 1.98gpm per nozzle, even more now that, all that, you could have read in Newbie Questions category alone, which only has 184 topics.
Plus, now, minus the pressure drop from the hose length which is:
@ 4 GPM you are going to get roughly 90psi drop per 100 feet of hose with 3/8 hose that is.

Shazam… that’s good.

Coulda been a typo, but that paragraph is enough to teach folks about nozzle size.

I read on here the recommended surface cleaner size is 4 inches per gpm. So, I would assume you would need a 16" surface cleaner. However, I have a 4500psi/4gpm machine and use an 18" surface cleaner that works just beautifully. I haven’t tried anything larger but if a 24" works for you with the correct nozzle sizing that’s awesome! I’d love to cut a swath that large. But do you sacrifice speed with a surface cleaner that’s too large for your machine?
