Surface Cleaner skirt repair

Anyone have a diy fix for broken surface cleaner skirts clips?

The clips holding it on are breaking.

Sorry @Clean_Blue it’s just time to upgrade

Haha. I did, I bought a 16". My Classic still spins though so it stays in the field.

If you’re just trying to buy some time redneck style would be drilling a small hole in the base big enough for a zip tie to fit through and going all the way around the skirt.

You could probably get some thin metal, bend it in a “u” shape, go over the skirt, and put a few rivets on each side. Through two of the rivets have another “clip” coming down vertical and rivet that to the base.

I like the hole idea. Everyone here always impresses me with their redneck fixes.

Just stick 2 new rivets there. That’s how they’re held on to begin with…or a zip tie will work too

Cut the broken couple of inches out of it. It’s facing away from your feet, get another 1000 hours outta her easy lol.

Send me your address and I’ll send you some. I bought 4 dozen ten years ago or so and still have plenty

If anyone else needs them, here you go. I use a stove bolt and not instead of rivits

@Innocentbystander thank you I appreciate that. The skirt is still viable it’s starting to come off and it’s now catching curbs and such. I wanted to see if I could hang it back on.
