Surface Cleaner recommendations? 20+" for 8GPM

Looking st buying a 20+" surface cleaner. Is there a industry standard or gold star one? The old posts I’ve looked at tend to go back and forth a bit and are a few years old. It looks like a 4 nozzle bar is recommended no matter what. Also with a 4 bar I should be able to DS? Or should I stick with US for the SH etc?

My machine that’ll be used is 8gpm @3500PSI.
Price:Not to worried
Size:Atleast 20"

I’ll probably be buying 2 or 3 of them. I posted in the commercial section but a overview is I got asked for pricing by a real estate co/management co on doing all new for sale listings and they want their rentals done x2 yearly (flatwork, roofs, siding etc) I was going to get one here soon but the timeframe got moved up a lot. Lol

Whisper wash is the best 4 nozzle tips for your 8gpm

I don’t think you want to downstream with a surface cleaner.

It’s impossible to downstream with a surface cleaner because an injector only pulls at low pressure. That’s the reason a jrod comes with two soap nozzles and two rinse nozzles. The rinse nozzles are just a little more pressure so it cuts off the soap all on its own. Most think the rinse nozzles are too strong for house washing and just go back to the trailer and pull the soap hose out of the bucket or use a remote valve.

I agree as will about everyone else on here.

Just upgraded from the 20” GP Hammerhead to the 19” Whisper Wash Classic. I should have gotten the whisper wash in the beginning . The Hammerhead swivel failed after 2 months and it was taken care of. After looking at the differences, the whisper wash is the better investment. With your machine, I recommend getting the 4 nozzle bar whisper wash classic 19”. Get the 25025 tips (the bar comes standard with 2502’s) but the 25 gives you more flow for your 8 gpm.

And if I may, the Ultra has wider bars and will accept a standard Suttner gun. Same mechanicals.

Isn’t the Ultra only 16" though? They’ll swap handles around from one model to another. You could get the 19" Classic with the Ultra handles.

The Ultra comes in 19" as well. Looks almost exactly like the 16" Ultra. Not sure if Ultra handles would work the Classic or Aqua Pro. The attachment points look pretty different. If you’re right, I am ordering the Aqua Pro handles for my Ultra right now… :face_with_monocle:

Does the Ultra 19" come without casters? If not, I guess it wouldn’t be too difficult to remove them.

Read the description. It mentions you can customize and request handles from any other Whisper Wash surface cleaner. It’s like the 7th paragraph down.

Before ordering make sure the bottom part of the handles is the same distance apart as the old. I wonder if with the Aqua Pro being bigger if the base of the handle bars will be wider than the Ultra? They make it sound like any can be customized though.

You can definitely order one without casters. Russ got the hover version for me and I’m pretty sure @dcbrock got the same deal.

I’ll have to call pwp on Monday to ask. I love my Ultra 19 and it was a great deal price wise, but I’d really like that folding handle for my setup. I’ll keep you guys posted.

You will like the flip and fold handle. This is how I do mine I cut the trigger part off and Tig another handle and grip. Just use the ball valve. I like the four nozzle bar and the protectors help to.

I’ve had the 19,24 and 36 and all the handles was the same distance @ the bottom.

Yea was doing 5 things at once. Understand you can’t DS with one due to the pressure difference

protectors?
