Surface cleaner handle

I’ve been searching all overs the forum to see if anyone has had this issue and I can’t find anything! Today while using my whisper wash, the handle pulled apart into two parts! Total scratch my head moment. I’m not sure why it is designed like this but does anyone have any tips on how to repair? Thanks in advance!

They all do that in time . I weld mine as soon as I buy it . Problem solved

I figured welding would be the fix, unfortunately I haven’t learned the skill of melting metal yet. Might have to use poor mans welding (JB weld) lol

Do the same as what’s on bottom. Drill a hole straight through and use a pin or bolt. Easy day. Or take it to a weld shop and just have them tack weld it. Tack welds will hold just fine.

Or muffler shop. They’ll probably be happy just to weld something that isn’t a muffler.

You could put it back in, drill a hole in that side into the metal dowel also, then insert screw or bolt if you go all the way thru.

Maybe someone should contact the manufacturer If this is something that happens often. This may cause a problem, if you are using it and can’t fix it on the spot when it separates. I always wondered why they sold replacement handles for their surface cleaners.

I agree, I feel like it should be welded or have two pins in the first place!

I believe it’s done for shipping reasons. WW is right down the road from me . I can’t go in there without at least an hour to kill. The head tech James is a super nice guy.

My other job is working at a machining and fabricating shop. That right there would be a 10 minute job and cost about 15$

I’m not talking about the connecting pin that you attach during assembly. I’m talking about the connecting rods that are separating from the handle while in use. That should not happen.
