Plan on using my xjet… the guy said it’s not real concrete stucco, it’s some other type of stuff. He says the stains are organic for sure… any suggestions on this job ? This will be my first stucco home
Is it painted ?
@florida_condo_cleani you’re the guy to ask ! Lol. It is painted yes. I’ve looked into it a ton on here, theres a LOT of threads about stucco… what I gathered is that you cant downstream stucco, that’s why I’ve said I’m using an Xjet obviously. The stuff I’m not too 100% sure on would be, for like mixture strength and dwell time… I was thinking of just putting a 50/50 mix in a bucket and using the xjet… is 50/50 enough tho, or will I need to run straight 12.5 through that xjet ? I’m assuming if I ran straight, the dwell time would be somewhat minimal, but I’ve never done a stucco house.
Are you using a proportioner in the x-jet, or fully open? I do stucco, in Florida, and usually I’m running about 3 gal. SH & 2 gal. Water with the red or beige proportioner.
If it’s painted, hit it with 2% by whatever your preference. If it wasn’t painted it would be a pita. It’s porus like concrete then you get into having to do it 1-4 times even with hot mix. You could even ds it with normal House wash a time or two.
I planned on using it wide open… not sure if I’m going to use my jrod tips or the m5 twist nozzle. I know @Racer likes using the twist nozzle. And I think @SchertzServicesLLC does too !
I modified my x-jet to be able to use my jrod. Less misting and can replace wand to a longer or shorter length.
Mine is modded as well.
Do you not have a 12V pump?
I’m in soflo I do mostly stucco /dryvit . Xjet will get you stonger mix but sometimes painted stucco cleans up pretty good downstreaming too. Because the paint helps it from being so pourus. But always have an xjet or 12v just in case u need to go to 3-4% Because that happens also with stucco
However @anon82972966 you might be needing 2-3% maybe more for that house
@anon82972966 I would wash the house with 1% and go back on trouble areas increasing strength until it came clean
If it was me I would DS straight sh then wash with about 1000psi . It may take a few attempts but should do the job . Because it’s painted to much sh or pressure can cause damage. Especially on paint that has been left to the elements as long as that one
I have a 65 degree nozzle that gives me a thousand psi, I could try that !
What size machine do you run. I run 8.5 gpm units and my go to nozzle for most stuff that needs a little help is a 15020 . It’s also my I need to rethink this nozzle. Meaning if I can’t get it off with that pressure I need to figure out a a new oproach
I got a 4gpm at 4k… next year I’m upgrading to a 5.5 with a gearbox, and I’m buying a bandit so that I dont have to bother with the xjet.
I would try a 15010 nozzle and a 10ft wand . With your machine. 65 degree is not going to help you much
I got that one and I got a 1530 a 2510 a 2540 0040 0010 and 0030
I’ve had good luck DS’ing stucco. I have to hit some spots a couple of times occasionally, but overall I’ve had good luck with it. I’m like some of the others, I’d probably try my normal house wash mix and see what happens and then go up from there if need be.
@SurfaceMedic yeah at this point I figure I’ll try a normal mix and see. If not I’ll try running straight while downstreaming. If that dont work, I’ll bust out the x jet and probably try that route.
