Sub/Subbing out jobs

Have a landscaping guy that takes care of a small group of family owned daycares… he is subbing jobs to me, i want to make sure this sticks becuase he did have me done one of them last year. I threw him a bone last year, but it was never discussed.

He doesnt want to do it, but want to make sure i take care of him for throwing me the work. What % do yall operate on when subbing for jobs? Or when subbing out jobs?

I keep 10% but they must have workers comp and the same insurance as I do.
