I’m gonna be bugging @Jordie a bit over the next couple months because I’m deadset on getting better at videos.
Check out Voxer btw… this may be what I start using to communicate with you all if we chat regularly. It’s like a two way radio, but with recordings. Better than texting.
I digress… I made this video a couple weeks ago and have a short list of content to create future videos. I’d like to consistently upload them weekly.
I’ll probably make one about downstreaming from a bucket to show the basics since we get someone asking how to downstream once a week. My question is: what other content do you want to see? What can I help with?
Every time someone mentions dans vlogs or w.e. it’s called, I think it would be great to have a PWRA training channel, perhaps that’s something @JessicaPWR can look into? Maybe something members can make videos for and submit? A collaborative, just like this forum
Thanks guys. I appreciate you all checking it out.
@sasquatch step one: don’t be afraid to pay $50 for shipping on yard signs.
@SureShot and @steve and everyone else I’m fairly certain mine is BadfishBrodie
@DoubleH I think that’s a brilliant idea. We’d need @chris’s approval I’m sure to make an official channel, but if not we’ll just call it NOT The Pressure Washing Resource Association Channel.
@Dogby92 thanks man. I need all the help I can get. Lol
I would love a video regarding the transition from a one man operator to hiring employees. I am getting to that next level in my business and have no idea what to do.
Thanks!
I’ll have to make a video about how I make it work with sub contractors and part timers. I haven’t had a full timer yet. Maybe we can sweet talk one of these other folks with a crew how to hire.
Yeah. Going off of this… how to compete with other already well established competitors when you’re just some new guy off the streets with a pressure washer. Lol. aka “why hire me when you can hire this company with years of experience”. Kind of stuck on this myself right now. I don’t want to be the $99 house wash guy…
In the city I live in (approx 40k people) on google search there are 3 pressure washing companies (1 being a painting and pressure washing company) with more than 10 reviews. One has 30, one has 11, and the other has 41. There are at least 10 others with zero reviews but they come up on google search, “pressure washing companies in…”
Then move on to Angie’s List and Facebook. It’s important to be the top reviewed pro somewhere. Check for the same search terms at Angie’s List, Facebook, and even Bing. If no one is focused on Bing people still search there.
I’d like a video on Facebook marketing and advertising. We have an account and post semi-regularly (linked to In Instagram account) but I don’t think we get any good exposure or jobs thru FB
