Stucco Building Wash and Asphalt

Hey folks. I’ve got a small commercial building cleaning this week. Stucco exterior, which I’m not a huge fan of, but hey I gotta eat.

My question is that there is no vegetation or buffer - the parking lot runs right up to the building. It’s older worn asphalt, or pavement depending on what you call it, but it is not seal coated - it’s just older uncovered pavement.

I searched the forum and I found some posts talking about SH leaving marks on a seal coated driveway, but really didn’t find anything about a housewash mix and pavement.

I’m thinking just rinse, rinse, rinse but thought I would toss it out there and see if anyone has any experience with this. Anything you guys have run into with this kind of a setup?

All you can do is pre wet heavily, don’t let it dry on the asphalt.

Just like you said be sure rinse good afterwards. Pre-wet too but I’m sure you already thought of that. Sometimes stucco takes a stronger mix than regular house wash mix. You could probably just use a pump up for the areas that need a stronger mix. I once did a hotel that just had their parking lot sealed coated a few days before. The parking lot wasn’t right up to the building but had about a 6’ sidewalk. I used a 2% mix and just rinsed the parking lot to the drain afterwards. It didn’t leave any marks. I wouldn’t worry to much about that parking lot. I don’t see it making it look any worse should anything happen.

Thanks to you both. Yes pre wet and rinse for the win. Fair point about making it any worse. :beers:
