Streaks on siding after wash

This was just an average light algae vinyl siding job, thought I rinsed thoroughly but got this.

We also did the windows and I used my scrubber on it, came right off. Normal HW mix downstreamed.

Do not scrub it with anything.

Lightly mist it with water and it will disappear.

Or wait for the next rainfall and it will be gone.

This happens sometimes when it dries slow.

It’s oxidized siding. It will look wet or streaky like that for a day or so. If its dirty streaks listen to @KMP and mist it. Wait a few dry days before you go back and do anything. If it still looks like that a few days later. Resoap with a light mix and rinse the hell out of it. It will be fine.

I wouldn’t leave it I’d fix it right away to make the customer happy. I had this happen before on a hot day when the soap started drying before rinsing. I just resoaped and rinsed it right off.

I had the same. Good point. If the soap dries on hot siding it can look like that but I’ve only seen it on oxidized siding. If he already left I would wait a day or so before I do anything. I had a similar situation and it went away after 2 days. It looked like that the next morning. I showed up 2 days later to clean it again and it was gone.

Yea the only time I had it happen I was still washing so I was able to spot it and fix it at that time. The siding wasn’t oxidized though. I think it was just the dirt on the siding and the sun/heat that caused it to happen.

That color siding is notorious for that exact situation.

If the sun was beating on that side after rinsing it would have never happened.

Misting it the same day will work as long as you have the right weather conditions, and dont over rinse.

I have seen it many, many times.

Thanks guys. Mother Nature should take care of it tonight.

Yeah it’s fine. Give it a rain
