Streak marks!

Help! Did a house wash today and rinsed thoroughly. The customer just called and sent me these pictures. Does anyone know how to fix this i cant tell if its oxidation or not. I bumped my soap up a little because it was raining out so maybe its resiidual soap?

Let it dry for a couple of days it might go away then check it. If it’s still streaky wet it, soap again with very light mix and rinse, rinse and rinse but from a distance.

If you zoom in on some of the marks it kind of looks like leakers from behind the siding that hasn’t completely dried. The siding is definitely oxidized but I’m not so sure you disturbed it. I’m sure the homeowner did where he rubbed his hand on it. A lot of times customers think the house is still dirty when they rub oxidation off. You have to be sure to inform them about it ahead of time so they aren’t surprised by it. The more they rub the more they disturb it.

As Bill said it give a few days and wash again if it’s still there. Try and take some better pictures before cleaning. If it does end up being disturbed oxidation you then have to scrub it. Gutter Grenade helps but still takes scrubbing. Hold off on any scrubbing until you try what Bill said to try. Hopefully a little more dry time takes care of it.

Would awesome work for scrubbing off the oxidation if it comes to that? And thanks for all the input guys this has me a little stressed out lol.

Also what would you consider i light mix of sh? I usually just down stream a 5 gallon bucket of 12.5 sh.

I have a 2.1 injector on a 5.5 gpm machine.

I know of some good stuff for oxidation removal… BIO Kleen black streak remover.

It’s so good, not only did it remove the black streaks from the front of a camper today, it also stripped all the paint off as well.

I bet the wife was happy about that one…lol

You could probably dilute your SH down going forward. Time how long it takes the green or black to turn brown. Five to 10 minutes is about right. I bet you can mix 3 gallons of water and 2 gallons of SH and it’ll work fine. Some guys do that with 8 gpm machines which don’t usually draw as strong. Just experiment until you find the sweet spot. You’ll save quite a bit of cash on SH if it works out for you. You’ll use less than half the amount of SH you have been using.

Thankyou

Unfortunately not myne… a friend of mine. I’m getting that area painted or vinyl wrapped for him.

For addressing the streaks I would do 6 inches of SH and a dash of soap in a 5 gallon bucket. Just to wake any dried soap up and any dirt so you can rinse it off. You can always increase SH if you need to do it again. Do that 1st before you start trying any fancy recipe. Let it dry for several days checking every couple of days before you make any decisions on what to do next. If it looks great takes pics to cya especially before it rains again and dries streaky. I’m dealing with same thing. The brown house I thought was fine after it dried is blotchy up close. This 3 days after heavy rains. It didn’t look like this before the rain. It wasn’t perfect but not this bad.
