Strange question

I have an empty office building I clean the Sidewalks stairs and patios on Quarterly. however it does have occupants. A group of buzzards live on the upper stair railings and crap everywhere. I don’t have a problem cleaning it from the tile patio and concrete but can’t find anything to dissolve it from the metal railings. I’ve tried SH, EBC, and a caustic cleaner thats locally made with no success. Does anyone have any ideas on what would work? Also, any ideas on how to keep the buzzards from coming back. they’ve destroyed the roof before and caused about 200k in damage.

Red Tip might get rid of em. If that don’t work, them maybe a .22? Could go more aggressive with say a 9mm or larger. If noise is an issue, get you an old-school sling shot and relive the good 'ole days…

Yeah…protected species and all.

Lady near me has some cattle. For some unknown reason the vultures were ganging up and killing newborn calves. Nobody had ever heard of that before.

Pour some anti freeze on a dead animal. No but seriously they make reflective tape that you can hang up it works for small birds not sure about buzzards you can cheap out and hang disposable tin plates. I had a problem with them getting in my trees stands i had to put hog wire up. I doubt decoys will work even other vultures would each another vultures so they probably are not afraid of other animals.

Im more concerned about the stains on the metal railings.

Bird poop is highly acidic and can etch metal. You can polish it out or use colored car wax and then buff it but thats really it.

Fake snakes work for keeping smaller birds away. Don’t know about buzzards though.
