I got a call to clean this mold up, just checking in with you guys for advice before I get it done in a couple days. Plan is to pre-rinse, hit it with 3%, dwell then rinse with LP shooter tip, hopefully I won’t need anything else.
You’ll handle it like a boss! No doubt. If it were mine, I would skip the pre wet & hit the nasty spots first with the Xjet, then DS everything, then zap the nasty spots again & give it some quality dwell time while keeping the glass wet. Plan on a lot of rinsing. I’ve hit EIFS with 6 percent & it still didn’t come out great until it got a solid rinse.

Wow 6%, no kidding ok. Guess I’ll be cranking that valve all the way over. How much at risk am I of shorting something out with all those wires?
Always a risk……this is pressure washing. I just don’t spray directly in or on the signs.
Chris, Don’t worry about pre-wetting. I’d hit it with your strongest HW mix, put a couple of coats on it with a few min. in between, let dwell about 10min and rinse, then see what you have left. A lot of that should come off. Then take your 8’ ladder and pump spray with a strong mix where needed. You never know with that stuff. Some will come off really easy and I’ve had others where I’ve hit with 5% 3-4 times. Some of those marks where the old sign were may not completely come completely off even with scrubbing.
Prewet that awning before you hit building with anything strong unless you want that section to look cleaner than the rest.
Thanks guys, the ironic thing is he originally asked if I could do the awning but balked at the $250 price.

Pretty much exactly like that all the way behind the sign.
I did get a reply from a guy in Chicago that pointed out the signs are sealed with black silicone, and over time they can ‘bleed’ like that.
I’ll try BARC and OneRestore and report back. I won’t do anything in the middle, but the ends need to be dealt with. I can’t believe they didn’t clean it before putting the new sign on.
it you get in a mental bind should nothing work, use mek do you can get paid. flammable, keep that in mind. wipe on wipe off.
