Stone Aggregate Wall Panels, and the X-Jet

Not anticipating any, but I am prepared with:. " It’s for personal use only, officer."

Ok, so I am submitting a quote asap for this contract, we put things on hold for the winter.

Are you of the opinion that I can DS a mix of SH, Elemonator and EBC so that I can one-step this project?

I haven’t washed this before so I can’t give you a positive answer unfortunately. What I can say is you won’t need to add elemonator if you’re using ebc because it’s a concentrated soap/degreaser. I am just about positive DSing won’t be strong enough. If your diy x-jet doesn’t work you could always borrow mine if you need to. As of right now I only have use for it once every 3 months lol.

I appreciate that!!!

Regarding EBC and not using Elemonator: Is EBC good enough as as a surfactant?

I am theorizing that this aggregate needs SH and a degreaser, and I would rather do it in one step, but I also need something to keep the SH on the wall.

At the same time, aggregate surface is way more porous so perhaps surfactant is not as important?

EBC is concentrated enough to use as a surfactant and they also advertise it as a house washing surfactant (not that I’d use it for everyday house washing). I feel that you’d need a strong mix to clean this up without using any pressure. How strong was the mix on your test spots?

@Firefighter4hire have you washed anything like this before?

I was really rushed, I think I probably had a 2-4% sh mix, but I only had a backpack sprayer since my gear was winterized. So, I could not account for medium pressure or water agitation.

I will very likely get the window cleaning contract as well.

Personally, I would rather not get the contract if that is the case. I want to treat this like a bunch of house washes with my feet on the ground. If I can’t do that, then I will pass.

Is your statement from your point of view, or is it that you don’t think anyone should try this?

Do you think the risk of failure is too high?

I get specializing and saying “no”, I do that now in window cleaning, but I am trying to test my upper limits in PWing, and as I am finding, people (including property managers) want window cleaning and pressure washing.

You should have stopped and slo mo in clearwater Florida

I can confidently say you won’t be able to soap and rinse the area in the first picture that looks to be the main entrance. You’ll need a ladder to spray from that roof that’s over the entrance, which doesn’t seem to be a big deal. It’s definitely a risk to take on this job if you aren’t confident you can clean it.

Nothing overly hard here, only challenge here is getting sh strong enough up there. This would be a 12v Job for sure, might even take 2 squirts but definitely nothing to run from.

You could easily ladder it up that entrance and rinse it with a 4 gpm

That’s what I would do. I mean I would use my 5.5 it would take a month to rinse it LOL. I bet the window would be harder to do. If he has a 4gpm and a gp high draw might be able to get away with a few passes

Absolutely, it’s on work like this that the 12v’s shine. I can see how it can look intimidating with a smaller machine when your looking at the whole building. Some would have this thing done in 13 minutes flat with a larger machine :face_with_hand_over_mouth:

I would appreciate the links if possible. Ive got the time right now to make it.

Aggravation and head ache factor are way too high.

-You can find a used 55 gallon drum off a local marketplace to use as a chem tank for cheap. Some places like carwashes will even give them away for free.

-I also bought my battery used for $40

-Battery tender $25-$40

-All of the pieces for the ball valve wand are from home depot:
1/2in Barb to thread
1/2 threaded pvc ball valve
18in 1/2in threaded pvc pipe
1/2in pvc female to female
1/2in male to 1/4in female brass reducer
1/4in quick connect for your nozzle

That brings you to $400 give or take without a reel. It’s a decent setup that can be paid off in one or two jobs. If I forgot anything let me know.
