I bought these steel diamond plates for mounting my hose reels two nights ago, and then left them out on top of my toolbox overnight. I come back out here the next night and there’s orange everywhere, but it wipes up. Why did this happen?
Seems like it’s bare/uncoated metal and it flash rusted.
Brake rotors do the same thing, doesn’t take long.
get yourself some rust bullet, no prep work needed except degreaser and flakes need scraped if any. it’s the best stuff.
