Starting trailer build - considering the ladder rack

I have goals of being just like @Racer with my set up. I have just bought a 6.5x12 double Axel trailer. I am looking into getting the “bunk bed” ladder rack fabbed and installed on it. While I have the cash flow to get it done, and upgrade to an 8gpm machine and get a roof washing system set up, I am still fairly new to the industry and always worry I am pouring too much in too soon. I am 1000% in for the long haul tho so I think it’s worth it.

Any advice, constructive criticism would be greatly appreciated. Not too sure about that 6’ dimension for the height of the rack.

Reese hitch receiver welded in center of trailer in front and back, flush with deck boards. Make ladder rack out of same size stock to slide into receivers. Insert locking pin. Now you can take them off if you need to.

You make ladder rack whatever height. I kept mine that height just so I could put it in garage if I ever needed to. So far never have. Shop has 10’ door so depends on where you’ll be keeping it.

Awesome. Now to decide if mounting my reels upside qualifies me for electric reels or if I need to pay some dues first. Probably going to pay the dues lol

Titan doesn’t make an electric reel that works upside down and they won’t reconfigure for you. Don’t know if Hannay will.

Will you build a platform to flip yours right side up? I could use the “workout” anyways.

Yes, could be do fairly easily. Would just need to suspend couple of lower longitudinal pieces of angle iron from top. My next build that’s probably be what I’ll do.

Your back will thank you when you hang them upside down

Those things have some super useful, out-of-the-box applications. Like my custom snowblower carrying rack on 4-slice:
