SS QDs getting thrashed. Why?

What pump is that? Should be a number on top of it.

General Pump TSF2021

Why?

What size is your engine. 630 or 690?
What’s that nitrogen thingie suppose to do?

Honda iGX800. I was told the nitrogen thing was supposed to help startup or assist the unloader or something.

Edit: ok looked on the forum. One poster posted this video and mentions what the nitrogen does.
Go to 14:30 of the video. Its a vibration dampner. No idea how to refill it

What model is your machine? I’m trying to look up the specs. Isn’t it a Mi-t-m?

Alkota 8405HNL

Those are decent machines, but bet you visit the gas station with only 7 gal tanks. Something is wrong with iit. May want to visit your dealer. Should be getting the specs easily with that machine.
Remeber if you go to a flo unloader the max rating on them is 3600, which is plenty. all I use. Go with a k-1, more forgiving.

I top off after every day of work. Use about 3-4 gallons in a 6-7hour day. What do you think is wrong with it? The 7.5GPM flow or 4100PSI? I figured they set the unloader to maximize PSI at the expense of flow.

Those are accumulators typically found on hydraulic units. Not a bad idea adding them to a pressure washer, but not cheap. I run one on my soft wash setup to keep an even flow and stop the pulsing from pumps.

You talking about the nitogen thing? Maybe that’s why the pump has lasted. Still, want to change out the unloader for a flow through type if it will save my tips. Busted a new hose trying to force a ball valve in because the male QD tip was brinelled to hell and I just changed it out.

Take a grinder bit on a dremel tool to that fitting

I have dozens of old tips and it’s not worth the time and hassle to file/dremel them. They’re definitely wearing out prematurely. One use out of them and immediately pitting starts to form. I’ve changed o-rings and doesn’t seem to mitigate it at all.

Picked up a K 7.3 unloader. Hopefully it mitigates this issue and better protected the pump from kickback.

fittings are from where?

Local pressure washer supply store, GP brand. Adjusted my unloader 720 degrees and got 3500psi at the pump. Flow seems to be at 8gpm.

Gonna run with the current unloader and if need be switch to the flow through. It has the number 3 orifice for 8gpm. Wondering if the accumulator can stay on or if it has to come off for the flow through to work properly.

Yeah those QC shouldn’t look like that so quickly……something not right.

Try one you will never go back to a trapped pressure. zk 1 are the least temperamental one than zk 3 you have to setthem up everything for that gpm of the pump.
