When doing a house wash do you guys spray the doors or do you skip them and just wash around them? I’m not talking about expensive wood stained door I know to stay away / cover them. I’m talking about your average house and average fiberglass or pained exterior door.
I wash them, just don’t spray hard in case they don’t have good seal.
Always a judgment call. Do what’s needed, but when there’s the risk of leaks, etc., don’t do more than needed in that area.
I usually spritz with water first.
Same, light spray with water, quick hit with HW and rinse right away. If it’s some bright crazy color or looks freshly painted, water only.
I wash with waterfed pole and di water. Usually they are a color that might be affected or the hardware gets messed up. Even the “expensive locks” can get messed up. Typically I will wash sliders and side doors though.
Curious about getting a wfp… About how long is the setup and takedown? So for example if you were to use it only on that door how long would it take?
About the same time is it would take to wipe it with a rag. If that’s the only reason you’re going to get one I would say don’t do it. Maybe just rinse the door off with the m5 twist nozzle (or low pressure fan tip on the j rod). I don’t know if you have growth on doors though where you live, I’m in California and that’s not a thing.
Would be mostly for some windows and to rinse off black fascia and soffit etc.
If its white then typically always wash them. If its painted a red or blue or something that looks like it wouldn’t handle sh then water and quick spritz as the chem is changing to rinse.
Front doors are avoided with the hose, I actually hand wash all front doors and around the main entry to make 100% sure it is all clean as this is the first place they see when they walk out the door, It is too much but i do charge accordingly,
