Spray gun broke when using 90 degree extension

Brilliant post lol

It will lower your pressure because it’s reducing your flow. You don’t want to purposely make your machine inefficient just to get lower pressure. Get the right nozzles for the pressure you want and keep your full gpm.

Move along now. Nothing to see here.

I got my blinders on

really? Look, let me help you out, that guy washes more stuff in 6 months than you will in the next 3 years. I listen to what he has to say, maybe you should too. I don’t follow all his advice, we work in different areas, but if it’s about equipment, you can probably take it to the bank. Or…you can do your own thing.

Not busting your chops, trying to steer you right. His advice was on target, adjust unloader one time, never touch it again until you are replacing it. Pressure is determined by nozzle selection. Buy a real lance.

It’s no big deal. You can lead a horse to water but you can’t make him talk unless you rub peanut butter on his gums. That’s a Mr Ed reference for you youngsters. I’m impressed with his quoting abilities thingy. I still don’t know how to do that.

I think he said he was just using it around the house so maybe he’s not a contractor. He’s probably a gazillion times smarter than us at whatever he does for a living. I spent a hot minute today looking all over the computer keyboard trying to find the % button. I tried using zeros and the back slash and it didn’t look right. Then out of no where I saw it. It’s the same button as the 5 but you have to press the upper case button. You know what you know and not what you don’t.

I’m not a contractor. Retired software engineer. I get what you all are saying, but I logged less than 30 minutes on my pressure washer at lower gpm than the 4 gpm my washer is rated. I’ve had the machine for two years and my hour meter just hit the 10 hour mark. I will probably not put more than an hour or two on the machine at a lower gpm than it is rated for over it’s lifetime. The damage done will be negligible. I know to adjust slowly and only while the machine is running. So, I took advantage of the feature to get the job done. To do it right I would have probably ended up ordering multiple nozzles using trial and error to find the one that would work - time wasted ordering online and waiting for deliveries to get the one. I take good care of my stuff and this machine will be runnning great long after I’m gone.

to the lower right of the post you want to quote.

I like you, and I still don’t know how to quote like you did. Benefits of using tips to lower pressure is you still get the full GPM. Message me your address and I’ll send you a pack of nozzles for your machine. We need folks like you with engineering minds to hang around.

And if you’re retired then you probably remember Francis the talking mule. I wonder if the peanut butter trick worked on him?

I’m mechanical engineering, feel free to send me free stuff anytime, lol. For real, I’ve been lurking around here long enough to know how much you contribute. Props to you for being easy on this guy who has a lot to learn

Lol, u want a gutter cleaner out tool that screws on the end of a pole. I got a box of those.
