Softwashing Limestone near metal sign with hard water

I have a commercial client who’s interested in getting the side of their church building softwashed. However, there’s a large metal sign mounted on the side of it. Not only do I want to be conscious of the hot SH mix I’ll be using (~4%), but also that their water source I’ll be using is a pretty hard water.

What are the factors/practices I should consider when trying to wash this side of the building and not damaging the sign? I washed the other sides and splashed some of their metal roofing, and after rinsing it with said hard water I didn’t see any staining or reaction. I’ve heard to keep the metal surfaces wet with the SH mix and to not let it dry. I imagine I would upcharge for that since I’ll have to use more mix. Is this job a bit too risky? Any tips helpful.

Two options:

Hit the sign with 4% mix and see what happens

or

Pre wet the sign
Spray your chems (not directly on the sign)
While waiting for chems to dwell, water down the sign again
Rinse off chems
Water down sign again before leaving

Don’t worry about it, I already took care of it for them. Thanks for the lead!

that was funny.

On a side note, can you post a link to your site, can’t find my bookmark and interested to see what you have cooking. Haven’t perused the catalog since last season.

Msg me if they said not to post it or something weird like that.

You can add your email for new product notifications. This year is going to be fun TRUST me! I have plenty cooking but I will happily take requests and add it to the ever growing list.

Thanks. Any chance of making a better 3 way valve? Those things snap at the worst times, I have to keep several on the trailer and I’m just a part timer. Maybe I am mistreating them, but they seem fragile. Worst part is that they are now over 18 a piece, plus shipping/handling, for plastic.

Yeah for sure, I sourced 3 way 316L balls and machined some out of brass. The seals were machined out of PTFE. The bodies were very heavy wall! I’d likely want to do the the bodies and balls in CPVC for you all. I may look into making them already mountable rather than making something else just to attach it to something.
