Softwash wizards assemble!

Today I met my stucco match. Unpainted stucco, hit the heaviest stuff twice with marginal luck. 3% mix, 15 minutes dwell time. Any ideas? @Racer @Greg755

I was gonna ask them to pay me what they thought it was worth, but they had a check ready for the full amount and were really happy with the flatwork, but I’d like to go back and get this tackled.

Hard to beer in the phone. But 2 questions
#1 is that some rust in there?
#2 is that the only area?

Somebody’s off work. LOL. No it’s all over the house like that. I thought it may be Rust, but I was afraid to use the oxalic because I didn’t want to lighten it in those spots either and have a whole new problem.

See not beer…, stupid phone… Any ways mix a 5 or 6 percent solution in a pump sprayer with a little more surfactant than usual… Spray the whole area with water first. Then spray the heavy spots with the stuff you just mixed. Now that the soapy heavy mix is on the bad area lightly brush with a Soft brush… Let dwell a couple of mins and rinse real good. Oh my God did I say brush…

Do you have pics of any other areas, before/after?

You guys are a HOOT! BTW, props for the best comeback of the Millenium, @Greg755

Sorry about the last pic. Fat fingers.

Bump up your mix to 4-5%. Hit, wait 10 min, hit again, wait 10 again if needed hit again. Usually, 3 rd time the charm. Don’t rinse in between. Sometimes takes more than once. Looks like where maybe gutters overflowed and carried some of the roof crap down there. If you have some ebc, use that as your surfactant on those sections.

Was having this discussion with @Steve. When you say 4%, is that the concentration of SH hitting the surface, or is that the mix ratio of SH to water?

hitting the target. He has 12v now so it’s the same

How is it the same with 12v? 50% mix ratio is 6.25% surface strength, right? I’m missing how it’s the same. I’m probably just confused.

If you’re using a direct application such as a 12v, then whatever your ratio in the tank is going to be what you’re actually spraying

Right, but when you batch up a 5% mix, is that 20:1 water to SH? Or is it just under 1:1, giving just under 6% SH concentration?

Like is it 5% SH, 95% water? Meaning that 5% of 12.5% meaning .00625% concentration?
