Softwash wand selection

Tried the searchbar…

In past years I have been using garden hose for my sw line and garden hose sprayers for my applicator. Getting ready to order 200ft of 1/2id hose and want to know what everyone likes for a sw gun. Is the one pictured a good product? Is it restricting?

Whatever the one is at pressuretek. I don’t know any others.

Found it. Looks the same but has an angle on the end that would seem helpful! Thank you sir!

PVC 1/4-turn valve is my recommendation. That trigger gun is waaay too easy to break when you drop it, step on it, etc. A PVC valve is too, but a couple bucks a pop beats $30-$40 any day.

I just keep a handful of 12” threaded sprinkler pvc because that’s the only thing that’s broken on me. If the trigger breaks we’re hosed. That’s a good idea with the valve.

well I just set up my 12v system this winter and have been messing around with wands and tips. I had this one laying around I bought it for $20 all I did was changed out the tip to a quick connect

But by mid summer I’m planning on buying the fatboy setup from Pressuretek

It’s aluminum so I bent it to have slight angle

Is that valve stainless? If not, get ready for a (not) nice, HOT SH shower. Seriously it would probably be best not to use that wand. Schedule 80 PVC is your best bet when it come to SH.

What size is the lance? It looks thin like it would be restricting gom? Have you gone a bucket test for flow rate?

Yes it is stainless

Aluminum will last a little longer than plain steel, but you may be shocked at how quickly it will be destroyed.

The wand pictured is 1/2 npt. Just curious if it restricts flow. I bet it shoots high!

It was a wand I had for my kids to wash out the dog lot. On my garden hose it did great so I played around with on my 5gpm pump it shoots 20’-30’ with softwashing tip off my PW gun I was surprised with it

I mean I LOVED this tip my first two years! I was only using a 4.5 pump and never had a problem hitting 25-30 ft. With little wind of course…

I think I paid like $20 for the wand when I bought it. I wanna say I got it at tractor supply not sure though it’s been a while but I believe that where I got it. But if it will work for me till I can get everything I really want I’m happy.

My lord for $70.88 plus shipping they wont even put it together for you lol wow

My selection: I might add I have one of those plastic ones like you show. Used one time a couple of years ago. If you’re going to be walking a roof might be ok. Too fragile. The 2nd photo is the best for distance. $2.95 at Lowes. The stainless one is the one I use the most though mainly for post treating.
