Softwash systems

Hello all, I am new to this forum but have been in the industry for going on 11 years now. We are interested in converting over to softwash roof cleaning. I have been doing a bunch of research for a couple months now and found this form. It seems like there are a lot of gentleman here who know what they are doing when it comes to softwash cleaning. As of now we hovering roofs and then do a light chemical treatment. The results are awesome but I feel like we are putting too much energy into having to clean roofs. If there is anyone who is open to assisting me with information please let me know. Thank you

Ryan, Where are you from? That will determine to some extent best way.

What do you mean “hovering roofs and then do a light chemical treatment”?
Are you using pressure on the roofs currently?

Also "soft wash has many different meanings. So when you say converting over to “softwash”, are you referring to getting a “softwash” systems or learning the “softwash” application process of cleaning a roof with out pressure

For tile roofs only. Low pressure then a light chemical treatment.

And getting a softwash system.

We currently have two trailers 4-24hp Honda 8 gpm, 350 gallon freshwater tanks, 65 gallon chemical tanks with 12 volt pumps and 1 stand-alone hot box.

We are located in South Florida

If you’re in S FL then you’re going to be doing a lot of tile roofs. Will need 50-50 mix most the time. Can either use 12V or a lot of guys down there that do a lot of roofs use an air system. Contact @PWProducts. They’re in Clearwater. They’ll get you hooked up with everything you need.

Thank you

Pressure Washer Products can customize a softwash system for your needs based on your very specific requirements. We can ship your rig on a pallet or two anywhere on this planet!

We offer both 12 Volt Pump and 1/4”, 3/8”, 1/2”, 1” and larger All-Flo air diaphragm systems. 12 Volt systems control the speed of the user because you ‘really can’t’ effectively restrict the flow even by adding yet another component, the accumulator. The 12 Volt Pumps use more chemical, have drastically shorter lives but are quiet compared to other pump types. 12 Volt Pumps are not the best choice to use your main pump to transfer chem to your rig and use to clean roofs.
All-Flo air diaphragm pumps offer a five year manufacturers warranty and will allow you to useANY nozzle orifice to control flow and run-off or move as fast as needed. You can use a 2.0 nozzle off your surface cleaner if you really wanted to mist on the chemical without hurting the pump. The All-Flo Kynar bodied pump with Santoprene diaphragms is engineered to transfer chemical 24/7 and ideal to use as the same pump to transfer chem to your rig and to softwash surfaces. Santoprene diaphragms provide greater flow and higher distances over the outrageously priced Teflon diaphragms and in our opinion, not worth the cost to pay for Teflon. Protect your pump with one of our special regulators to protect both the diaphragms and air valve.
