Soft wash metering and surfactant preferences

What’s your preferred surfactant while using a metering system?

  1. Metering type: Pro-P, ProMixAlot, homegrown, or other?

  2. Surfactant: elemonator, clingon, applewash, etc?

  3. Mix ratio: 4:1, 1 gal surfactant to 4 gal water, etc

  4. Substrate: ?

  5. Settings: water, sh, surfactant?

I have a metering system from Brian at Midwest. He’s on here. It has the GF metering valves.

  • I’m currently running Clingon but have been considering trying something different.
  • I typically run my soap valve at 20-40% depending on what I’m cleaning.

I have the same system as @SurfaceMedic. I use apple wash unless I’m doing roofs then I use cherry snotmenade. it depends on what I’m washing as to what I have the soap set on

Try slo mo

I’ve heard it’s good. I try not to do too many roofs if I can help it. snotmenade seems to be a good all around soap. I’ve used it in lieu of elemonator and it did well. once I use up the elemonator I have I’ll probably just use cherry snotmenade for downstreaming and roofs. I like apple wash for stucco and f9 double eagle and ebc for a degreaser. other than f9 barc that’s pretty much all I use

Do you dilute the surfactant? What ratio?

@SurfaceMedic @Kps0410

Snotmenade i don’t. One gallon of apple wash makes five gallons of soap.

Half a gallon in a 55 gallon drum of slo mo is all you need I pump sh out of same barrel for house wash and roof wash

DS or dedicated pump? Metering?

Ds for house dedicated pump for roof

Do you have a porportioner?

No I only batch mix. Just the way I was taught

I don’t dilute. Just dial it up or down depending on what I’m cleaning. I have a 5 gallon soap tank and I haven’t added to it in forever and get good soap when using. It doesnt use much with the metering system.

Also uses less bleach. I only used 25 gallons of sh post treating 25k feet of parking lot today

What used less bleach? Apple wash or your metering system?

I’ve been post treating by force feeding my ds injector with a 1gpm 12v. It’s so much faster not having to drag around both hoses. Right now it’s hooked up to a toggle switch but I plan on setting it up remote eventually. I know it won’t last forever but it’s like $30.

The metering system uses less sh. I went from doing stucco at 2% to concrete at 3 to 4 %
