I want to get into the soft wash Roof cleaning and offer that
As well… What and where would to find the best cleaner for these
Shingle type Roofs… My in injector is down stream and using a black
Soap tip to apply… Bio degradable would be nice also so I wouldn’t
Have to cover the plants… I’m looking for a little speed so I dont wanna
Have to prep much! Any advice would certainly be appreciated.
Welcome first of all… I think you may be a tad bit confused on the Softwashing Roof part. You need a dedicated pump and SH mixed at the correct ratio as well as a Surfactant to keep the mix on the roof.
This is one way I had it set up.
These are the kits you will need to clean roofs.
ROOF CLEANING PUMPS AGRICULTURAL SUPPLIES / CHEMICALS PUMPS / COMPLETE SYSTEMS / KITS All our 12 volt pumps are manufactured to Pressure Tek’s specifications and are warrantied against manufacturer defects for a period of 6 months from the date of pu
I have a sure flow electric chemical injector on my rig as well… I would have to look at the Gpm but I know it’s not much… It would def put the chemical down… My rig was built to do everything… I just haven’t done everything… I can hook a chemical nozzle to it so it’s more about the chemicals out there… Seems to be a few… Thanks for your response.

Hey Alex, ditch the poly braid when you get a chance, that stuff is slicker than ice when it gets wet and you’re walking on a roof. I went with the yellow stuff Bob sells
Thanks for sharing that, JC. That’s a really handy piece of info. I’ve been using the poly raid for a few years and I really have to be careful with it on roofs. I’m guessing the yellow hose still gets slick but not as bad?

Its not nearly as slick as the poly braid hose
I am pretty sure that putting your pump on top of your battery is asking for an explosion if/when something goes wrong. Even with the battery being in a box the idea of SH pouring all over the battery is a very bad idea. I would move that pump immediately!
I’ve seen that set up before and had the same concerns about the pump being over the battery. Alex have you had any problems with that set up? As for the poly braid, we used it at first and then changed over to Kuritec hose. What a world of a change, we got ours from Pressure Washer Products ( LORI) you can even get in RED, BLUE or YELLOW and what ever size you need. We use red for transfer side, blue for suction side and run yellow for discharge hose. Keeps everything separate.
