Sodium hydroxide or big box deck stripper?

Is there an advantage to using one over the other to remove stain?

Big box stripper is just hydroxide or potash with a fancy name and price tag. 50 pound bag of potash cost $120 and will strip about 75 decks.

If your local vendor can’t get it for you try this.

Where do you buy it at that price?

Thanks man. What’s a typical mix for this stuff?

Six 12ounce coffee cups of flakes in a five gallon pail for downstream. 4 for xjet. Results may vary. Experiment. Be careful.

That was my next question, lol. What precautions do I need to take?

And is it effective if applied thru a pump up sprayer?

Read up on it. It will burn you. Can’t think of a reason to pump spray if you have a pressure washer. Maybe for treating oil stains?

Buy a truck load of old pallets and tinker

I actually have some old pallets. Good call!

What would you recommend the for cleaning grease on concrete and downstreaming it in on? Still 6 coffee cups?

I wouldn’t clean concrete with grease. Much easier work out there. You’ll just have to experiment

Ok thanks. I do some driveways with a cold water machine and customers often ask about oil spots…

Just tell them it won’t come up.

Did you mean 6 12 oz which is from what I understand 72 oz per 5 gallons

Or did you mean…

6 to 12 oz per 5 gallons…

Not being a smart ■■■ just trying to figure out…

72 ounces per five gallons
