Skim coat cleaning?

I have a long time WC customer that wants her pool deck done and pointed out her wall.

My approach would be to hit with a strong mix and rinse with low-ish fan, but wanted to check in with the pros first.

I’ve done a little of this before but my fan caught a hidden edge and blew off a slab of the skim, so trying to avoid that.

I did one of those 900 feet long….I just put 4%, let dwell and fan tip, I believe 4040. Careful what’s below for runoff……

What Kentucky said. I have one neighborhood close to me in particular that has this along the foundation of all the homes. I have to dilute the heck out it after washing because it often times has lawn/flower beds right up to it. I give the homeowners a warning that there may be a stunt in the landscaping with these.

Also, as with anything being cleaned with that much “staining” on it, you’ll never know what’s under there until you clean it off. Be sure to have that talk/in writing if you haven’t already, but I’m sure you’ve got that covered - this is more for any newbies that come across this in the future.

I’d pump spray straight SH on the really bad parts, then hit rest with about a 5-6%. May need to do a couple of times and then hit with my 3-7gal M5DS nozzle. Not going to hurt that deck, looks likr it’s got that deckover stuff on it anyway…

All above is good, I would only add set expectations and send us the “after” picture.

Thanks guys, I’ll try and do a before and after, got it scheduled for tomorrow. She’s getting the deck stained so anything is an improvement.

As promised.

I sprayed the entire wall with some weaker mix I had when my 12v check valve failed, so probably…6%. Let it dwell for a good 30 minutes and rinsed with my trusty 1500psi fan tip.

The vine tendrils took a little more persuasion. She wanted the deck prepped to be painted, nasty job.

I can only hope you not only set the furniture back but placed a single flower in a vase on the table and left the chair on its feet

Bang on before and after!

Thanks guys, appreciate the encouragement!

looks good
