Side access e-z load ladder racks

Anyone use the side access ladder racks that rotate to the top of you vehicle? Similar to this:

Any problems with these? Any brand recommendations? Is a box truck with a 11’ roof to high to use these?

Well, I have never used that, but looking at the video, it looks too easy…

11’ roof would work, might have to get a step ladder to use to get the ladder off and back on.

I’m toying with the idea of getting a box truck. Problem is the roof is so high and we use ladders for almost every house (elevated decks). Currently I have a enclosed and use an A-frame ladder to tie the ladders down. We can slide the up from the ground onto trailer but a box truck looks like that might be a pain in the neck. I was hoping someone had recommendations for these side load ladder racks.

Hang the ladders on the sides.

I don’t want them to obstruct my lettering.

Check craigslist. Don’t know what your area is like, but they pop up regularly here. Don’t know if that’s a good or a bad thing.

The auto glass shop next to mine sells them off vans he buys, but they have no need for it.

Looks pretty slick. Never seen them in action before.

I never thought to check Craigslist. Thanks. They aren’t cheap.

The electrician I rented to space to had them on sprinter vans. I don’t think they would handle a 40 footer but they were stout. The integrity of the roof is your weakest link.

Whatever happened with your shop/owner shenanigans?

I’ve made an offer on 3 buildings. Hold up now is bankruptcy attorney has to have a fuel cell removed and all the contaminated soil removed before property can be sold. AV fuel tank was under ground, it floated to the surface, cracked the concrete apron and leaked. So so glad it happened before I bought anything. I’m in limbo right now, making rent payments to an attorney.

I have a 40` I want to use it for. I’ll have to make sure I check the weight.

Looking at how these work, at $700 a pop, I should start making them for a cost of $160 and sell them. Lol

They’re not that complicated. Really smart though… I need to invent something

40’ is a 2 man ladder for sure. It’s a money ladder though. When it comes out the price goes up.

I have a similar rack, came with the van, i took it off because I don’t want ladder racks on top of the van, my ladder slides inside the van.

I’ll be selling it soon. I’m in Florida.
