Hey I’m working on pricing a shopping center. I think I’m fine on my sidewalk surface cleaning price. But they want the front of the building only under the canopy’s cleaned too. I’ve got about 13,200 sq/ft of sidewalks that i priced at $1056.00
As far as under the canopy’s i was thinking $748.80. It’s 9360 sq/ft at .08 This will be only twice a year and this guy manages 4 other property’s in the area. Is my building wash price about Par i feel like it could be high? Any input would be great thanks in advance.
It looks like you drew lines on the sidewalks… Are you using some kind of measuring mapping tool?
I actually went and measeured. But I used google earth just for those pictures. I was curious how accurate it is. Pretty damn close too.
I ended up sending the big over at $495 and $1065. And he he emailed this back this morning
Thanks for the quote at a quick glance I believe this is more than we have paid in the past however I will keep this quote until spring when we contract for this work.
I hate when this happens. There going to use your quote for 2 reasons with one being they most likely need to get around 3 quotes for the work to be issued out and the 2nd reason is their going to use your quote as a measuring tool(no pun intended) against other prices they get.
The odds are you won’t get this job but…hey you never know. Good luck
Thats lower than I would have went. Thats like .05 sq/ft Me I stick to my prices and let them know my work speaks for itself. There is always going to be someone cheaper, but there is a reason they are cheaper. Most don’t carry general liability and I have even seen some pull up with a pressure washer in the trunk of a car. My advice is don’t cut your own throat just to get the job, only you know what your over head is and what you need to make to cover your cost. Sometimes its good to walk way from certain jobs, other times run like your life depends on it.
This is what I sent back. What do you think?
Bruce, I had a chance to look at your email this evening. Rarely will you find a cheap service that also offers quality service. We are neither the cheapest nor the most expensive service. What we are is a professional company that offers quality, dependability, and results. After being on site last weekend and talking to Lance, the GM of the Food Lion, he discussed how displeased he is with the current vendor. I am confident that my price is well worth the quality of work you would receive. If you are ever onsite i would be happy to offer you a demo of my work free of charge. I look forward to doing business with you in the future. Please feel free to contact me with any questions you have.
I think you’re way too expensive.
1500 or the 1800
Where would you price it
I ended up pricing it at $1595
without seeing it, I would be around $1,000 for everything
Does that take into account that I couldn’t start untill about 6 at night. And would have to wait untill at least 10pm for the grocery store to close So I could finish?
no
For over 22,000sq/ft ?
Yes, its commercial work, not residential
You outa contact Prism who I believe is located out of NJ. They have 1000’s of accounts across the nation and they pay those low numbers. I know a few guys and myself included that did some work for them & to travel for less then 5cent a sq’ is a joke. All yours.
LOL, I wouldn’t do it for that price, thats the price they expect to pay
